I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Dance from Ohio University, where I went on to perform with various dance companies. From there, I continued to teach, choreograph and perform as a freelance artist and soloist while also collaborating with many prominent artists and somatic specialists within the performing arts.
I have explored other related disciplines with an emphasis on the healing and soft arts, furthering my education in the fields of Yoga, Dance Therapy, Pilates, Alexander technique, Body-Mind centering, and Labon.
Recognizing that the body is an integrated system, requiring a holistic approach for optimal health, I decided to delve into nutrition and herbal plant medicine, along with mindfulness practices that explore the subtle body energy systems.
With a desire to incorporate all facets of health in a systematic way, I then became an Ayurvedic practitioner, the traditional Hindu system of medicine based on the idea of balance in all bodily systems as a science of life.
